Now the Fan-Fest is gone and the trash was picked from the streets. There will be a lot of garbage again tomorrow night, as there’ll be the Love Parade. But anyway – the World Cup is over.

I found this at Markus’ private Blog (BTW: If you want me to link that one, just drop me a line… Until then I’ll better keep it private): A nice video with some awesome scenes from the World Cup.

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel has her own Videoblog. Last week Lyssa and Gabe B were invited to meet her in Berlin. See the video they took there:

That’s pretty cool, isn’t it?

(originally uploaded by Mindcaster at blip.tv)

A special thanks to André who realized the video smashed my theme and fixed that problem…

Here we go for some more Ruud van Nistelrooy-rumors. I always wanted the Dutch forward van Nistelrooy to come to my favorite Club Hamburger SV. He even went to Hamburg, met the coach and the manager, and maybe hat a chat with Rafael van der Vaart, our Dutch star player.

Then, as always, Bayern Munich came along with an offer for van Nistelrooy, who wants to leave his current club Manchester United so badly.

But if it’s not in Hamburg, I don’t want to see Ruud in the Bundesliga at all. I just read he seems to leave ManU for Real Madrid. It’s a pity for the HSV… but I’m glad I don’t have to see him wear the Bayern Munich-shirt.

Zidane planned to retire – but his headbutt keeps him not only in the worldwide media but also made him intersting for funny advertising and stuff. So it might just take a few more days, until you can buy some headache tablets with his face…

The Irish Travel Agency SteinTravel now uses poor Zinedine Zidane for an advertising of their newsletter:

And this one is even better. I just recieved the link via Email from Markus who found it at whoateallthebratwurst.

BTW: What would we talk and blog about, if Zidane hadn’t run crazy…?

A short note for my English visitors:
Bye bye Klinsmann!

According to exclusive information of the two German newspapers BILD and Süddeutsche, the German national coach Jürgen Klinsmann will not renew his contract. Jogi Löw, his right hand, might accept his inheritance.

I’ll post more information when I have the details…

Now that the world cup is over, weallspeakfootball.com is over, too. So it’s time to take a look back.

Before I stepped into the Coke flat for the first time I was a bit dubious. I didn’t know if I’d like the people, if I could stand sharing a flat with people I hardly know and how everything would work. Of course I had also heard about some bloggers taking the piss out of the project I was about to join.

From the moment when I first entered the flat, I somehow felt at home. I don’t know why, because normally I love being the lonesome wolf, living alone, rarely going out… But in the past 4 weeks, I totally changed. I met a whole bunch of people from all over the world. Some of them I’ve known before as a blogger. Most of them I’ve never heard of. But they had all one thing in common besides their love for the game: They were friendly, open minded and a lot of fun to hang around with.

In the past 4 weeks, I got used to sharing not even a flat, but also my thoughts. I got used to heading home from work and visiting the current bloggers at least every second day.

Like Markus already mentioned – I had expected to meet some real nerds. We all were kind of geeks, of course. But besides our blogs, vlogs and podcasts, we knew how to get to know new people and to have a got time in real life.

Well. Now everything is over. I am one of the few ones who will stay in Berlin. The flat is already empty, the furniture’s gone, I will never ever sit on that fabulous rooftop again. Damn, I’m gonna miss that so much. I’m gonna miss all you Coke bloggers that much – no matter what other people say.

The slogan of this years World Cup was “A Time To Make Friends” – and that’s exactly what we did.

I will never forget this World Cup, it’ll always be something special to me.

Thanks to all those wonderful people I got to know in the last 4 weeks and thanks for letting me be a part of the whole project. Let’s stay in touch and hopefully there will be a Coke flat in Vienna in 2008. Or maybe someone starts a similar project before.

Sorry Bryan, I have to steal a few lines of your famous lyrics… Even if some of you out there might call it cheesy.

Oh when I look back now
That tournament seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Ya, I’d always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life

The World Cup is over. What are we gonna do now with all our freetime? No more Football until August when the Bundesliga will start again. Damn, that’ll be hard!

First of all, congrats to Italy!!
To me, a World Cup is always a big event. But having the World Cup in my own country, having all those people from all over the world together, and of course, seeing my first World Cup match live in the stadium, made it even more exciting to me.

I’d love to know what really happend between Marco Materazzi and Zinedine “Zizou” Zidane to make Zidane finally bump his head into Materazzi’s chest. Of course, Zizou got a red card for that and had to leave the field. It’s a pity – because it was the last match of his carreer in the national team. He didn’t even go and get his medal for being the vize world cup champion.

So bye-bye Zizou. I always liked you – although you didn’t treat Hamburg too good back in the Champions League match versus Juventus Turin.

It’s the last evening at the Coca Cola-Flat – so I’d better get a go and join the party… Talk to you later!

We just had a little competition at the weallspeakfootball-flat about who has the biggest online ego. To be honest… I seem to be kind of famous as I have one of the biggest online egos in this flat.

My result was 6310 points. Go and check the size of your online ego! I’m awaiting your results in the comments.

So. Here we go again – trying to kind of translate some of my posts into English. On the one hand that’ll train my English (and amuse those of my friends speaking a better English than me) – on the other hand it will make this blog more international. Due to my stay at the coca cola-flat in Berlin, I meet a lot of people from all over the world. As some of them don’t understand German at all, I will post in English every now an then.

Oh my goodness. What a tragedy for the German team!
The long haired, greasy, bad-looking Frings with all his tattoos was a bit confused and acted like a boxer instead of a Football player. So his lack of knowledge of the Football rules (Or maybe it was just because of his rest intelligence (Most Football players don’t have too much of that, you know?) grew out of his head together with all that hair?) caused a big rumor in Football-dominated Germany.

It was even presented as a Breaking news: Frings is suspended for the semi-final against Italy tomorrow.

Up to now I always thought, Breaking news are all about terror, war or dead popes…

But wait. Thinking about it… This one is even worse!!

So. Who will be the one to frighten the Italians? If it’s not for the only guy who would have been able to challenge for the title “Bad Hair 2006″? If it’s not for the guy, trying to get some colour into the match by his huge Tattoos?

How about Jens Lehmann, who had to look on his little sheet of paper before the penalty shoot-out started to remember “If the ref whistles, It’s a goal!”?

Or maybe Christoph Metzelder, who won’t shave until the Germans are out of the tournament (Just one more night, Metze, just one more night…) – but who keeps now stepping onto his own long beard, keeping himself from running around?

Or maybe even Philipp Lahm, the guy who’s so small, he might get lost in the green?

Yes. Now I realise: These are the real tragedies!

I finally returned to the Coke-flat. I really miss the people there and we now came together to have some cool drinks, watch Sweden vs Germany and have a barbecue afterwards.

Germany already scored twice and I’m afraid, Sweden’s way to the worldcup might end today. So… Goodbye, Freddie Ljungberg. I’ll really miss watching you taking your shirt of after the game…
